LG - 6.3 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Electric Convection Range - Black stainless steel

I have had this LG Stainless Steel Convection Oven and Smooth Glass Top for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. The smooth glass top has five burners. One burner is a warming burner which is great if you want to have your gravy stay warm while your preparing your potatoes. There is also one burner inside another burner. The smaller burner is a rapid boiling burner and it boils water within under a minute. Inside the convection oven is bright blue and has a few different options for cooking and baking. I use the convection bake for cakes, brownies etc. and it converts a higher temp. to a lower temp. which bakes your food evenly. There is also a convection roast button which I have not yet used but will when I want a roast. The oven also has your regular cooking buttons. It does have an easy clean button which I used once when some food spilled and baked on the bottom of the oven. It came with a spray bottle which you fill with water then spray the oven and press the easy clean button which then steam cleans the oven. Which I did and worked perfectly.

I did not like this range much at all. I used it for about 2 weeks and I'm glad to have exchanged it for a different make and model. The two huge issues I found was the push button interface for using the cooktop was cumbersome, slow and inconvenient. I've never missed knobs so badly! The next issue we had was the cooktop had an odd texture to it, it wasn't smooth and you can feel the crisscross pattern. I didn't care so much about that but it led to metallic marks being left by the bottom of my pots and pans which were nearly impossible to remove completely. One other problem I had with this was on the install of the power cord, I did it myself as it's pretty straightforward except that the lugs would not loosen, I had to remove the blocks out that the lugs were screwed to from the back of the range, put them in a vice and use a wrench to break them free! A five minute job turned to 30+ just like that. I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you're considering this range....unless you plan to never cook something and just want it to take up space and match your other lg appliances

This was the perfect new stove top/oven for us. It is attractive (we wanted black stainless to match our LG refrig), it is VERY functional and efficient. My wife almost instantly noticed that the stovetop heated up MUCH faster than our older one. Many conveniences on this despite a moderate cost of this unit. Cool looking ! The inside has a cool looking blue finish, AND it apparently adds to the efficiency ! Other reviews have noted that the smooth glassy top, despite uber careful care, is just going to show “marks.” Apparently it is just part of the composition of the material on all smooth glass tops- research it yourself, but we all may have to accept this. Really though, NO complaints, and essentially all positives. Oh, regarding the free delivery and set up by Best Buy ? A++ The two young gentlemen were on time, called half-hour before arrival and were polite, friendly...AND verrrry careful on our floors and walls. Very satisfied...THANK YOU ! So yes, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I bought the whole LG package.LOVE them all except this range. Every time I used the oven I did the quick clean clean on it. I had some guests stay at my house for a month when I returned I noticed the oven was a little dirty so I thought I would just do the quick clean on it and a good scrub. I'm presently on my 15th time of quick clean and scrub and it still won't come clean it has dirty splash marks on the sides and the back of oven. I give up!! There is no other way of cleaning it you can not use any oven cleaner so if you can't get it clean on the quick clean ( you spray a cup @ 1/4 of water wait 20 mins it does even get that hot I start cleaning as soon as it beeps with my bare hands) If I had known how hard this was to clean I would have never bought it. If you're the type of person that likes a clean oven this is not the one for you. Looks like I'll be replacing this after only 6 months.

LG overall is a phenomenal brand for appliances at least. I have their refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and now...this. The heating is very evenly distributed and fast. The extra power to get water boiling quickly is responsive. The oven itself, that can also do convection leaves no heat differences, very even. Where there can be improvement is the panel to turn on burners. Push button in nice but they have this plastic panel that you have to push hard enough to get to the actual button behind the panel. Its not the end of the world and perhaps I am used to touch screen or responsive buttons like microwaves that the panel and button are together. This did not give the feeling of a oven that LG produces. Also, the top is not as clean easy as my previous stove-top. Perhaps in time it will have less stick qualities. Overall I would purchase again

Was excited to get a new stove but have been disappointed in its performance. The oven has uneven cooking in both the regular and convection modes. The oven Easy Clean feature is a joke. Spraying and pouring water into the oven only to take towels after the useless cleaning cycle to soak up the water. It doesn’t clean grease splatter and I have to use a scrubber to clean it. Instructions say not to use oven cleaner on it. The stove top does heat effectively and quickly. Also about a month after I had the stove a screw fell out of the stove console, poor manufacturing. Choose another brand/ model not this one.

After a couple of months’ use, I prepared to set the CLEAN OVEN function, as with previously-owned ranges. SURPRISE!! Directions are to spray plain water on oven surfaces, then set “ CLEAN”, which merely heats oven for a few minutes to create steam. Then you have to use a scrubby to scrub off baked on spills, etc. It specifies in manual NOT to use any chemical cleaners. This is hard work! Lots and lots of elbow grease are required! Very disappointed that the Best Buy salesman did not inform me about this type of “self cleaning” when I was shopping for a new range. SELF means ME—I clean the oven, the range does NOT!

I bought it,paid 5 yrs to Geek.The 1st time we used it the surface melted. Geek tech said that the guarantee doesn't cover the damage. I called the LG Company and they talked about everything but they won't take care of the damage. I put 1 star because I'm not allowed to put none. I would never ever recommend to buy any LG product, because if something happens to the product you bought they won't replace it nor help you. And It's not cheap
