Latest firmware update has me locked out
Posted .Latest firmware update has me locked out. After updating the firmware and logging in I am stuck staring at this spinning wheel ... "waiting". I will be replacing this router with one from a different manufacturer and will never buy another Linksys product.

Very well designed simple home router
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This router is very easy to set up there’s a login and a password if you pick manually set up this router in the settings. There are so many routers now that are being sold that force you to have an app on your phone before you can even set them up they don’t allow you to login via the default IP address. This router has the standard router IP default address and once you’re logged in the username and password is on a decal on the bottom and it’s super easy to set up. The overall performance for a small 1400 square-foot home it works just fine. Good price for a simple home router a little bit of knowledge in the technical side is necessary

Quality company and product
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. My old router just was not fast enough to handle my needs anymore. But at 76, I did not feel the need to spend the money for an over the top router that my cable couldn't supply the signal for anyway, so I asked the clerk for his assistance. This was the router that he recommended and it certainly did the trick. Over the years I have had numerous Linksys products, with great satisfaction, so the purchase was a no-brainer.

Great Router
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This is the fourth or fifth router that I have purchased and the second Linksys. The previous ones lasted a few months to about a year. My last Linksys lasted 3 years. The support from Linksys is exemplary. Just top-notch. Just because of that when I needed an extender, I got a Linksys. Again support was excellent. We have about 8 devices that are controlled by this (not simultaneously) and we are in a 1000 sq. ft. house with an attached garage. The extender was for a device in the garage. I'm not sure why these routers do not last much longer, so I purchased a three-year extended warranty from Best Buy which was inexpensive. Again, it's the support that I am buying.

Much better than the Xfinity Gateway for WiFi
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Comcast couldn't/wouldn't get my Gateway modem working correctly for port forwarding, and it also wasn't giving me full speed over WiFi. I added this Linksys router and put the Gateway in bridge mode. Now I have complete control over all functions of the router (Comcast blocked my access to some settings). It's installed in my garage at one end of the house, and provides an acceptable signal throughout the entire house. I have a separate access point on the far side of the house, but the signal from the Linksys is still sufficient if needed from that distance.

Exactly what I needed!
||Posted .We had a Linksys router for years, and when it needed to be replaced, a Netgear router was recommended, we bought it, it was defective, and we went back to Linksys. We installed our new Linksys router quickly, both the hard wire and the wifi, and it is working wonderfully!
