Q: Would it fit a Microsoft surface pro in the tablet compartment?
A: I don't think so. The tablet compartment is very tight and barely held papers.
Q: Will a 17" laptop fit? It's an extra big one so it needs to be a good size.
A: It depends, the width is only 11.2''.
Q: Will it fit my Canon R5 + RF 800mm lens (total length about 15 inches or about 37cm ）？
A: Check the measurements at LowePro.com. I have a Canon "R" and but keep wide angle lenses--meaning wider object lenses when it is in the backpack.
