Q: can this printer print on a micro sd card? or might there be a better suggestion for that kind of print job?

A: There is not a micro SD card on the printer so you would not be able to print directly from the Micro SD Card. Plenty of USB card readers that allow you to plug Micro SD cards into a PC/Mac and then you can print from that device.
