Description

MB Quart's RLP shallow mount subwoofers feature an ultra-slim design, solid double-roll reinforced steel frame and a powerful magnet system. The RLP series have been specifically designed for small and compact enclosures. Other outstanding features in this high-quality and acoustically sound line include 2.5" (64mm) voice coils on glass fiber former with an injection molded cone neck support, injection polypropylene flat piston cone for maximum damping and structural rigidity and a 3/4" (19mm) high NBR rubber surround for more cone area and excursion.

So I am usually all Alpine everything, except the Kicker Solo Baric subwoofer! However, I was given a budget and limitation on my 2014 Chevy Silverado. I was not allowed to remove any of the seat space in the truck, so I finally decided on these. I put 2 of these in a sealed box wired at 4ohm under the back seat of my Silverado. I built the box to custom fit the truck myself and I ensured the cubic inch volume was with in the range given in the owners manual. I have an Alpine MRX-550 pushing them and it is amazing! To say that I am impressed is an understatement! MB Quart is absolutely a hidden jewel in the car audio world! For introduction to car audio, or not trying to loose seating or for maximizing sound in a small area these should be everyone's first choice!
