It snaps into place so easily I don't need to look at the alignment. Fingerprint reader works great. The charger snaps into place easily with no effort.

Previous versions of the surface pro keyboard would attach perfectly every time. You could basically attach it in the dark. This one attaches fine, but requires a little more precision. I wish it fit the surface pen 2 a little better. It's made for the slim pen, though.

Automatically connects; prior models required hard resets and contact cleaning. The contacts are covered instead of exposed. Good improvement
