Raw and real
Unlike what another reviewer said, this was not set in the Bible belt, far from it. This was set in Orlando.
Anyway,... it's hard not to feel sorry for "Lee" - but knowing about the real person and how crazy she was, I just cannot let myself do it.
The movie is amazing, with very raw and real emotion. It's not easy to watch, but it's a classic love story underneath the horror.
Charlize Theron gives a tour-de-force performance as Aileen Wuornos in this great film. Christina Ricci is a tad distracting in her role, but overall, they play off each other well and this is a great character study in how things can go from bad to worse quickly!
Charlize Theron gives one of her best performances of her career.Based on real life events, it's a powerful yet disturbing drama.It maybe to much for some viewers, take caution.
