Customers have good things to say about the character variety in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. They appreciate the character creator and the large roster of characters to choose from. However, some customers feel that the fatalities for the characters are too similar. Additionally, customers have mixed feelings about the Konquest mode. Some find it to be a bit weak and not as good as they had hoped, while others find it entertaining to see the MK characters interact with the player.

I bought this game when it first came out because admittedly, I'm still a HUGE mark for the Mortal Kombat franchise. Though there are many, many characters to choose from, their fatalities seem the same.
That is because Midway and the MK team decided to take this series in a different direction this time around. They decided to do a 'dial-a-fatality' method in this game, where you start with one initial move and are given a limited amount of time to input the other combinations to start the next fatality trigger.
That, coupled with fact that the adventure portion of the game called Konquest, was dumbed down for this game compared to MK Deception, made this purchase a little less satisfying than I had hoped.
It's still worth a buy though, at the current $20 pricepoint, due to the multitude of characters and environmental fatalities you can do in it.

I like this game, but the Konquest was a little weak. It wasn't as good as thought it would be, and just fulfill my need for adventure. The game play is just great and goes with the rest of the Mortal Kombat games. The Motor Kombat is funny to play and it reminds me of MariokKart

I love MK. I can still remember the days way back when I played the original Mortal Kombat on my Sega Genisis.
Before playing this entry I thought Mortal Kombat Trilogy was the best, as it had all the characters. Mortal Kombat Armageddon goes above and beyond that of its predecessors.
MKA features more characters then ever before (all characters to ever appear in MK series... including hidden / secret characters). Character creator is an interesting addition. Motor-Kombat is simply Mario Kart with an MK twist. The Story mode is a little too easy for my taste, but it is somewhat entertaining to see all the MK characters interact with your player throughout the story.
Fans of the MK series will love this addition.

This is a great mortal kombat game. I liked a lot of the game play better than I did deception, and motor combat is an excellent side game. The build your own character feature is amazing (now if only I really looked like that). The reason it isn't a perfect 5 stars is that the game seemed a little short, and it was pretty lax on bonus features. You get many of them in the konquest mode now, and heaven help you if you miss an item. The other drawback is that you don't get to keep the endings for each character so after you beat it you have to remember what happened to that person.
But none-the-less, this was a fantastic gaming experience, I thoroughly enjoy playing it whenever I get the opportunity.

This is the first Mortal Kombat game I've ever played and I love it so far. The last fighting game I played was Super Streetfighter many, many years ago on Super Nintendo; I obviously don't keep up with the video game world. I think the graphics and sound effects are great (I'm sure there are better ones out there) and I love the create your own player feature.

This games is the best you could ask for. I have played all the Mortal Kombat games, yes all of them, and this is like the best. It is the most challenging and it has new and the rest of the characters. It has a feature where you can create a character, which is cool. I love this game beyond reason.

I like this game!! Of course I am a big Mortal Kombat fan! But I do have to say that the last game "deception" i did like alot better! It just seemed to have more options, and extras! That one is still my favorite...but I like this one also!
