Q: I am having the same problem. The try me button plays snippets of the stations. The on / off and tuner knobs do nothing. I put brand new batteries in with no difference. . How is this thing supposed to work? Has anyone got one and made it work? How?

A: We were having this problem as well and if you unplug the "try me" from the back of the radio - it works. I don't know why they don't include that with the instructions.

Cool idea but flawed execution
They could have done much better, such as having broadcasts be longer and not start each broadcast off with "reporting live" when it's obviously a repeat. It is a cool idea, but it does nothing for a child believing in Santa. Half the songs are instrumental and none of the songs are full versions.

Perfect for little ones
Though a bit pricey, this radio is a darling addition to a house with little ones... or big ones who still love Christmas! Great sound quality, though we agree with other reviewers who stated that the singers were a wee bit odd. The weather reports and Santa updates are absolutely precious.

North pole radio
The radio is very whimsical and charming. It plays such fun weather reports and news from the north pole. It didn't come in a box thought and looked like it may have been used or on display before. It also didn't work when I first got it and had batteries already inside. I took them out and put them back in and seems to work. It took a few weeks to get it after Christmas so hopefully it still works next holiday season. Overall it's adorable and so much fun for the kids.
