Good card for the top tier enthusiasts.

The main thing differentiating this card from other AIB cards is the size. I was hesitant to try out the smaller heatsink, however, it does seem to be rather effective. At stock the card is fairly quiet, no louder than other high end 3 fan cards. I do lock it down somewhat using v-sync at 165 fps, so the power consumption and framerate are pretty in check. No coil whine noticed in my sample, but I do have my pc under my desk, so noise isn't as essy to pick up on. By comparison, my arc a750 sounds like a street lamp turning on. Games run smoothly paired with a 7800x3d. Realistically, it is supreme overkill as games aren't made intrinsically better with greater fidelity. For a good value, go for a 4070/7800 xt.

Smaller and quieter (coil whine) 4090!

Previously had a RTX 4090 Gaming X Trio and these are my thoughts and observations between the two. The Gaming X Slim is much smaller both in thickness, 4 slot vs 3 slot, and length, 337mm to 322mm. This doesn't seem like a lot but it really opens the door for the use of smaller ITX cases, which I prefer. It isn't FE size, but that card is nearly impossible to get. The second major difference for me is the coil whine. With the Gaming X Trio, I could hear it chirping away under full load and even undervolted it was still audible. This was through a quieter case that had glass panels instead of a mesh sided case I am using for the Gaming Slim now. With the Gaming X Slim, I can't hear it at all at normal distance under full load. If I put my ear right up to the case I can hear it above the GPU fans, but just barely. Overall I am very happy I sold the Gaming X Trio and got the Gaming X Slim.

    Got the last one!

I'm very surprised that this was actually in stock and by that...I mean 1 in a 100 mile radius. This slim design fits perfectly in my case, with room to spare, and stays cool even in long gaming sessions. I upgraded from a 3090 (moved that into my other desktop) and I actually can tell the difference between the two. I play in 4K with 3 monitors so yes I needed the "overkill" of this card and it did not disappoint!
