A: I've spectrum and I'm using this router. You do not need to do any special setup on it, just plug it in, sweet it up as orbi app instructs and you are good to go. If you don't get Internet after connected to WiFi, turn both the modem and router off, then first turn the modem on, and then the router. It will sync
Q: Can I use this with existing Netgear Nighthawk router/modem combo and wifi extender?
A: Most likely you will have to disable the router portion of the modem/router combination and make it become just a modem. Otherwise, this could cause a double NAT. Double NAT isn't necessarily a problem. For most people, double NAT does not affect Wi-Fi performance. But it can be an issue if you play online games or use IP address assignments, port forwarding rules, etc.
Q: Does this system also serve as a Modem or does have to be purchased separately ? (Spectrum Customer)
A: These are mesh routers. You will need to have the Orbi router plugged into the spectrum modem then distribute the satellites.
