Nightmare Man
A murderous figure in a demonic mask stalks a woman from her dreams before materializing in the real world to do some bloody damage in director Rolfe Kanefsky's nocturnal tale of night terror. Unsuccessful despite multiple attempts to conceive, Ellen (Blythe Metz) and her husband, Bill (Luciano Szafir), order a mask said to represent the God of Fertility. Unfortunately, their hope for a child is soon snuffed out when a demonic figure sporting the very same mask begins to pursue Ellen in her dreams. Increasingly disturbed by his wife's hysterical paranoia, Bill secures a room for his troubled wife at a nearby mental health facility. When Ellen and Bill's car breaks down in the woods en route to the hospital and the menacing figure from Ellen's nightmares emerges from the darkened trees, a retreat to a nearby cabin where Mia (Tiffany Shepis) is hosting a party with a collection of close friends sets the stage for a blood-soaked murder rampage that may or may not be the doing of a supernaturally charged killer. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

    Poorly Written

This is another film in the After Dark series that barely makes it over the line to standable or at least straddles the line. This one isnt as good as Mulberry Street and like many in the series looks really amateurish. The overall cheesiness and low budget feel to it will turn off most people right away. However compared to many super low budget films in this series that dont hold your interest at all, this one straddles the line. Some people will be appalled at the poor acting, cheap look and lame plot of this flim but for some people it will barely make it into standable range.

    Waste of Time

This movie is more of a comedy than it is a horror. The acting is terrible. There are fight scenes that were horrendous and the general plot is just idiotic. The plot reminds me of the mask in a weird way where there was some sort of magical power in this mask, but as you watch it becomes even more ridiculous and at the end you will just laugh until you cry because this movie is terrible. I like the horror fest films, but this one is not worth renting. All I ended up doing was waiting until it was over expecting somewhere the movie would scare me, disgust me, or peak a little bit of interest. I was very disappointed with this film. Check out the other horror fest films first if you really desire to watch all of them.
