Perfect Combo!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this unit! It's inexpensive and you get 3 items in one. The chopper is perfect for chopping onions without all the work and tears. It's easy to clean. Just rinse and you're done. Holding down the top to blend is so minor because it blends so fast! Everyone knows the Ninja blades are the sharpest and best blades and this unit is no exception. I don' t have a lot of room on my counter so I keep the chopper out and the other 2 in a cabinet and easily accessible. Takes up much less room than a blender and looks good with my stainless and black appliances. If you are on the fence, get this thing. You won't be disappointed.

Good Versatility but functionality can be improved
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the versatility of it, but the caps have to aligned before you fit, ease of use is compromised because of that. It comes with three containers, but only two attachments, so you have to use the bigger attached on both containers. Blades are very sharp and chops everything.

Power and Flexible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've now owned and used, with great success, the Little Oscar and the Cuisinart Mini. Both units had useful lives of over 10 years each. However, it was time for a replacement. We made the decision to go with this device based on reviews done by Consumer Reports where it earned high marks for most every benchmark. (When reading these reports, you need to assess if the benchmarks are consistent with those factors that important to you). The most irrelevant aspect of this machine was that it came with a variety of attachments which were duplicative of what we had in our Vitamix blender. The other bowls have been relegated to a dark corner in a kitchen cabinet. We were only chasing after the small unit for chopping and grinding of smaller portions. The first thing we noticed was that the form factor differs from every other mini chopper in that the work bowl is its base and the motor sits on top of the work bowl. If you're accustomed to the traditional units, this difference will take some getting used to. That said, the unit is powerful and makes quick work of chopping things like onions, garlic, ginger and making breadcrumbs. For us, it does everything we require and performs those tasks with relative ease. As for durability, we don't have sufficient experience to provide an informed determination. One thing that does give us some pause is that because the motor sits atop of the work bowl, one needs to exercise some caution when working with wet or slippery hands as that piece will likely be dropped. Depending on the distance it falls and the surface on which it lands, a drop could be fatal. Not having dropped the motor, I can't say with any certainty how well it will survive.

Works Well, Easy to Clean
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While not perfect, the Ninja works pretty darn well, and is more versatile than a blender or chopper alone. The big blender jar is definitely for blending, and isn't a bigger version of the chopper jar. As such, the chopping capacity is a little limited, which isn't an improvement over other choppers. The motor unit is smaller than a standard blender base, so it does save a little space. The biggest bonus for me is that everything comes apart easily and is dishwasher safe.
