A: No, unfortunately it will not work on the Wii U version of Super Mario 3D World. This is because the Nintendo Switch version of the game is based one the same game, but has more levels and features then the original. It will probably work as a regular Mario amiibo in other games, (on Wii U and Switch) but there will be no Amiibo support on the Wii U version. If you want this Amiibo, or you think you might want it later in time, I suggest purchasing it now before the prices go up higher then 30 dollars. This has happened many times before, for example, the launch price for the Guardian Amiibo was 20-25 dollars and I recently got it for 50, which is obviously a big difference.
