A: Hopefully BestBuy start caring about Elite Plus Members Too!!! Looks like buying spending 3000 dollars a year mean noting to them after all, and just spending 200 dollars paywall is more important now, well no more elite plus member for me, just 200 dollars a year now! thank you BestBuy for ruining your own business.
Q: Will Nintendo Switch games work with Nintendo Switch OLED?
A: Yes. None of the internals or processing power is changed. Only real differences are a new screen, kickstand, and slightly more storage space.
Q: Oled?
A: OLED screens allow for better contrast because each individual pixel in the screen is self lighting. The switch has a resolution of 1280x720 meaning there are 1280x720 pixels (921,600 pixels). On a regular LED display the screen is backlight. This means a light is shining behind the screen or from the side of the screen to illuminate the pixels. Better LEDs have several zones of backlighting to assist with contrast. OLED doesn't rely on backlighting. Instead all 921,600 pixels can be lit up or turned off to produced better contrast. When the image displayed in your game is black, the light isn't just dimmed way down like an LED so the image looks more black-gray, the pixels are actually turned off to produce a perfect black image. Long story short, this will be a HUGE upgrade from the original Switch screen and definitely worth the $50 price difference.
A: 100% Poor business guaranteed to sour the taste of many consumers that have made, in the past, BestBuy their go to. As if the layoffs last year didn't do it, this will.
A: It depends; if you mainly play in TV mode, this upgrade is almost certainly not worth it. The only thing that would improve is the LAN dock, although you can already buy a USB one for about $30. However, if you almost exclusively play in handheld or tabletop mode (like me), it might be worth considering. The new screen & better audio would be pretty great, and especially if you have an original model switch, the battery will last longer (because of the HAC-001 revision and battery degradation). Finally, if this is your first switch, just go for it! It’s not too much more than the base model!
Q: Still 720p in 2021? A 720p OLED screen can't be worth $50. Why the increase in cost?
A: It's an OLED, they cost money. You're also getting the new dock, improved speakers, a new hinge design.
Q: Does this come with the dock included?
A: Yes, this includes the updated dock.
Q: Will this model come with bluetooth speaker/earphone support?
A: Yes it will have Bluetooth 4.1

I owned the regular version of the Switch prior to getting this one, so I already knew I liked playing Switch games. When I bought the OLED version, I was not sure how the upgrades would feel in practice. However, I am very happy with them. The larger OLED screen is a great enhancement that does not tank the battery life in any noticeable way, and the kickstand improvement makes propping this up to watch some stuff in bed really nice. Those two upgrades alone made this a worthwhile purchase over the regular model for me. My one drawback is I filled up the internal storage trying redownload all my games (the same problem I encountered on the original version - it is not unique to this model). You will probably want to get a MicroSD memory card if you plan to load up on digital games.

As a gaming enthusiast, I recently purchased the Nintendo Switch OLED Model gaming console, and here is my review of this gaming device. Firstly, the OLED screen of the new Switch left a profound impression on me. The screen boasts vibrant colors and high contrast, making game visuals more vivid and lifelike. Whether in handheld mode or connected to the TV, the picture quality is astonishing. Especially when playing visually stunning games like "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," the new OLED screen truly enhances the gaming experience. Secondly, the performance of the Switch OLED Model has also seen significant improvements. Loading times are shorter, and games run more smoothly, allowing me to dive into the gaming world faster. The increased memory and processing power also mean I can download more games and apps without worrying about storage space issues. Another pleasing update is the upgraded built-in storage of the new Switch, which is now 64GB. While it might still be insufficient for some players, it's a step up from the previous 32GB. However, it's still recommended for players to equip a microSD card to further expand storage space, especially for those who download a lot of games. Apart from performance upgrades, the Switch OLED Model retains the versatile nature that the Switch series is known for. Whether for solo gaming, multiplayer cooperation, or using various control methods, this gaming console caters to the needs of different types of players. However, the new Switch isn't without some controversy. Some individuals might feel that the upgrades aren't substantial enough, especially considering the increase in price. Additionally, some players hope the new Switch will address certain issues that existed in previous versions, such as controller drift. All in all, the Nintendo Switch OLED Model gaming console is an intriguing upgrade. Its OLED screen and performance improvements make for a remarkable gaming experience. Despite some controversies, it remains a solid choice for players seeking better visuals and performance.

I upgraded my switch from the original 2017 hardware and I will say this OLED version is a HUGE upgrade. Everything about the console is improved from the bigger and higher quality display to the complete rework of the kickstand. I haven’t experienced the joycon drift yet (hoping there isn’t any), but I do know that Nintendo will fix your controllers for free if you send it back to them so I’m not too worried. However, I will recommend that anyone who gets a switch do get an sd card (if you’re planning to get ANY games digitally) as the storage on the device itself is quite small. Very satisfied, do recommend!
