Q: Does this hub work with the wireless Wavebird controllers?
A: Yes, but the wavebird adapters will not fit next to each other, they made the ports too close. So only two wavebirds controllers maximum by alternating port sockets.
Q: Can you plug in Nintendo 64 remotes??
A: Only GameCube controllers only
Q: Can this be used with a desktop PC?
A: Yes. There is a switch on the back of the adapter used to toggle from "Wii U/Switch" to "PC".

Honestly, what I have loved about Nintendo is that they have continued to innovate and drive where other gaming companies like Sony & Microsoft rely on better graphics than dominant games. Myself, I have loved what Nintendo has done with the Switch and the games that have came out for the hybrid console, because they like to change the way and innovate the games we play today. But when it has came down to third-party companies, they have mostly not embraced what Nintendo's deepest vision is with video games. That is just heartbreaking. For Nyko, they have been one of the biggest failures as a third-party company. They have made accessories that have not delivered with the expectations that Nintendo has made with their systems for years. Most of their add-ons have not worked with the highest demands that Nintendo fans had desired. This additions is more of a idea for fans of Super Smash Brothers: Ultimate. This Retro Controller Hub, is designed for those whom have Nintendo Gamecube controllers from the past and are fans that have played the past Super Smash Brothers games like Brawl & Melee that are more catered to that past controller. Honestly, it doesn't work as strongly as the one that Nintendo has made for those hard core Super Smash Bros. Melee & Brawl owners. Not to mention, the one Nintendo made last year can work with other Switch titles like Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. If you just bought Super Smash Brothers: Ultimate, or like retro Nintendo controllers, I would suggest you go somewhere else for another controller hub for the Switch.

Works exactly as you'd expect it to; the instructions that come with it are actually good at telling you how to set it up, which is pretty easy. It does use both of the USB ports on the dock for power, so keep that in mind if you're planning on leaving it connected; if you want to use wired Switch controllers you'll either need to unplug it to swap, or get a powered USB hub. On the software end, there were no issues getting one of my vintage Gamecube controllers to be recognized, it just treats it as a USB device. One thing to keep in mind when using those OG Gamecube controllers is that they don't have the home, +, and - buttons on them that the switch controllers do, so while you can use them to play certain games with simpler control schemes, you won't be able to access the Switch home screen or other system functions without having the Joycons or another Switch controller active. Overall though this a great way to make use of those old Gamecube controllers you have lying around for certain multiplayer games so you don't have to spend money buying extra new Switch controllers. Or for playing Smash Bros, which I've gathered is the main market for this...

Good product, works for what its supposed to. Ended up returning it because its rumble feature wasnt compatible with Wii U custom firmware, but if you are just using it on stock firmware, its an excellent product
