  • Key Specs
    • Image Sensor Size: Four Thirds (17.3 x 13 mm)
    • Effective Pixels: 20 megapixels (The actual number of pixels which make up the viewable image.)
    • Standardized Video Resolution: 4K (2160p) (An approximated measurement of the product’s video resolution. This may not be the exact resolution of the product, which may be slightly more or less when using a pixel-by-pixel measurement.)
  • General
    • Brand: Olympus
    • Model Number: V210022SU000
    • Product Name: OM5 Mirrorless Camera with 3.8x Digital Zoom Lens
    • Color: Silver
    • Digital Camera Type: DSLR Camera with Lens
  • Imaging
    • Image Sensor Type: CMOS (CCD and CMOS are the two main technologies used in image sensors. CCD, the older of the two types, turns analog light signals into digital pixels. This conversion happens without distortion, resulting in high-quality images. Newer CMOS sensors use transistors at each pixel to move electrical charges. CMOS sensors are typically less expensive, but also require more light to create distortion-free images.)
    • Image Sensor Size: Four Thirds (17.3 x 13 mm)
    • Total Pixels: 20 megapixels (Generally, the more pixels, the higher the image resolution and the finer the detail that can be seen.)
    • Zoom Capability: true (This function allows for magnification of the subject.)
    • Digital Zoom: 3.8x (A digital zoom is accomplished electronically, with no adjustment of the camera's optics, and no optical resolution gained in the process. The existing data is not enhanced or added to, merely displayed at a lower resolution, thereby giving an illusion of an enlarged image.)
    • In-Camera Image Stabilization: true (This feature helps reduce image blurring from camera motion. In-camera stabilization means the image sensor itself moves to counteract detected motion.)
    • Image File Format(s): RAW, JPEG, MOV, MPEG (Standardized software format(s) of storing digital images. The type of format chosen for capturing and compressing the image can determine quality, level of detail, and storage space required.)
  • Focus
    • Autofocus: true (Allows the camera to automatically focus through the lens, rather than by adjusting the lens manually.)
    • Eye Autofocus (Eye AF): true (Automatically seeks out and focuses on the subject's eye and holds it as the camera and subject move and as the photographer shoots at high frame rates.)
    • Number of Autofocus Points (Up To): 121
  • Exposure Control
    • Shutter Speeds: Mechanical Shutter 1/8000 to 60 Seconds, Electronic Front Curtain Shutter 1/320 to 60 Seconds, Electronic Shutter 1/32000 to 60 Seconds (The length of time the shutter remains open when the shutter release is activated, expressed in fractions of seconds. The longer the shutter is open, the more light that is able to be captured by the camera sensor.)
    • Minimum Aperture: f/22 (The smallest opening of a lens, typically expressed in f-numbers. The larger the number, the smaller the aperture and the less light that can enter the lens. A smaller aperture creates a larger depth of field, which keeps both foreground and background in focus.)
    • Maximum Aperture: f/4 (The limit to how wide a lens can be open, typically expressed in f-numbers. The smaller the number, the larger the aperture and the more light that can enter the lens. A larger aperture creates a shallower depth of field, helpful for keeping subjects in focus and blurring background details.)
    • Brightness Control: true (Allows the camera to adjust the brightness of a captured image for optimal exposure.)
    • Burst Mode: true (Also referred to as continuous shooting. This feature captures multiple shots in rapid succession.)
    • Burst Rate: 30 frames per second
    • Shooting Modes: AUTO (Live Guide can be used), Program AE (Program shift can be performed), Aperture priority AE, Shutter priority AE, Manual, Bulb (Live Bulb, Live Time and Live Composite are available), Custom, Scene select AE, Art Filter (Exposure modes employed by the photographer to control the optimal aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and other settings for capturing specific subjects/scenes. Examples include Aperture-Priority, Macro, and Manual modes.)
    • Scene Modes: Pop Art, Soft Focus, Pale & Light Color, Light Tone, Grainy Film, Pin Hole, Diorama, Cross Process, Gentle Sepia, Dramatic Tone, Key Line, Water Color, Vintage, Partial Color (18 color selectable), Bleach Bypass, Instant Film (Exposure modes with predetermined optimal settings for capturing specific scenes. Examples include Landcape, Portrait, and Sports modes.)
    • Effective Pixels: 20 megapixels (The actual number of pixels which make up the viewable image.)
  • Lens
    • Lens Type: Standard Zoom
    • Minimum Focal Length: 12 millimeters (The minimum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The shorter the focal length, the greater the area of scene captured.)
    • Maximum Focal Length: 45 millimeters (The maximum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The greater the focal length, the smaller the area of scene captured.)
    • Lens Series: Olympus M.Zuiko (The product group that the lens belongs to, based on similar shared features.)
    • Lens Model Number: M.ZUIKO ED 12-45mm F4.0
  • Flash
    • Integrated Flash: false
    • External Flash Mount: Hot Shoe (A cold shoe is a mounting point on top of a camera to securely attach a flash unit or other compatible accessories. A hot shoe is a cold shoe with an electrical connection that insures communication and synchronization between camera and accessory.)
  • Display
    • Display Type: OLED
    • Viewfinder Type: Electronic (A viewfinder is the part of a camera (or attachment) that allows you to see and focus a scene in frame. Optical viewfinders let you view the scene directly through the lens. Electronic viewfinders display the image on a screen in its approximate final form.)
  • Video
    • Standardized Video Resolution: 4K (2160p) (An approximated measurement of the product’s video resolution. This may not be the exact resolution of the product, which may be slightly more or less when using a pixel-by-pixel measurement.)
    • Video Resolution(s) and Frame Rate(s): 4K (2160p) video recording (Refers to the number of pixels, both horizontally and vertically, and the frame rate used to capture the video. The higher the resolution the finer the video detail that can be seen. The faster the frame rate the smoother the playback for higher motion activities like sports.)
    • HD Movie Mode Focus: Automatic
  • Compatibility
    • Memory Card Compatibility: Secure Digital, Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) (The type of memory card(s) recommended for use with the product.)

    Great camera for the price!

This camera takes awesome pictures and can handle the outdoor elements. I purchased this because I wanted something lighter and smaller than my DSLR for hiking and traveling. This camera does not disappoint. It is durable and lets me focus on creativity and composition.
