Q: QuestionDifference in Panasonic 3D TV Model numbers....Hello, What is the difference between the Panasonic - VIERA 55" Class / 1080p / 600Hz / 3D Plasma HDTV Model: TC-P55GT31 and the Viera 54" Class / 1080p / 600Hz / 3D Plasma HDTV model TC-P54VT25 offered by Panasonic on their website (please don't mention the extra inch)? I would like to know the differences between the model numbers and designations. If I wanted to purchase the TC-P54VT25 model instead of the TC-P55GT31model you offer, could I special order it through Bestbuy? I have been very happy with my BB purchases and would like to stay local. Thanks, David
Asked by dshazel.
- A:Answer The TC-P54VT25 is the 2010 flagship model from Panasonic. The TC-P55GT31 is the new 2011 mid-level model from Panasonic. (ST series = good, GT series = better, VT series = best) However, the differences between the three model lines can be very subjective depending on who you ask. Videophiles will opt for the GT or VT series while most mainstream consumers will be very happy with the ST series. Worth noting is that the GT31 appears to be a "Best Buy Exclusive" which adds in two pairs of 3D glasses and the Avatar movie. There is a GT30 model that is the same exact TV but without the extras and thus being considerably cheaper. Q: QuestionQuestion about buzzing and burn inI have read many reviews about Plasma's and it seems I have read a lot about a buzzing noise. Does this tv have that buzzing noise and is it as bad as most people say? I have also read a lot about burn in. Now I know Plasma's have come a long way since the first generation but is this still a problem? I don't plan on keeping the tv on a stationary image but most tv stations have their logo on the bottom or top corner as you watch so I'm worried after watching a 1hour program it will burn in the logo. Thanks for the input!

- A:Answer No buzz sound coming from our unit at all; and an anti-image retention solution is included to eliminate any burn-in that might occur. Just run the anti-image retention scroll bar once a month for 15 minutes and the screen stays good as new!

Q: QuestionDigital Audio Output TC-P55GT30 TVI have a Panasonic 3D Blu Ray player and a Verizon FIOS box attached to the TC-P55GT30 that I just purchased via HDMI cables. If I feed my Denon AVR-888 receiver utilizing the TV's Digital Audio Output jack all I get is Dolby Prologic II, not Dolby Digital 5.1. Does the TV not pass through the Dolby Digital 5.1 signal? Thanks.
Asked by Newlife.
- A:Answer The TV will pass Dolby Digital 5.1 if it receives that audio signal from a digital channel while using the TVs tuner. Connecting devices to the TV through HDMI will result in PCM 2 channel to be heard. If the amplifier has the HDMI ARC feature then the TV's HDMI 1 should be connected to the ARC input on the amplifier and any audio type coming into the TV will be heard through the amplifier speakers.
