This ( final?) entry in the Paranormal Activity franchise was a little uneven. The usual scares that we've grown accustomed to were present, unfortunately though, Katie Featherston was not. Her character was the driving force behind this story. Ghost Dimension seemed like the sequel to Paranormal Activity 3, not really building off of The Marked Ones ( which, along with the first, were the best entries ). The plot was also a tad disjointed, I think. What exactly was the little girl's role in the Paranormal Activity universe? I thought being a first born son was the backbone to Toby's mythology ( Aside: did we actually ever SEE Toby...). I am a fan of the Paranormal Activity franchise, but this installment left some things to be desired.

So as for the movie itself, it's good. No where near as great as the first three films. Some scary moments are scattered through out the movie, but could of been better. As for the 3D version, which I bought, it's not really worth the extra money. Very few 3D scenes are used, which kinda ruined the scariness of the film. More like cartoony animated 3D effects. It does have an alternate ending and extra scenes which is always a plus. I found the alternate ending to be quite good, better than the original ending. Overall, this last Paranormal Activity was indeed good, as Ive seen and finally owned all 6 films

It's time to say goodbye to Paranormal Activity, a franchise that, since its creative first entry that, for better or for worse, ushered in the era of quickly produced "found footage" films, has been increasingly grasping at straws to extend lore and plow more entries into theaters. Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension is easily the worst of a fairly sour bunch, a movie that's totally devoid of characters worth caring about -- largely because they receive zero development -- and a story that's interesting in its mechanics but flounders in delivery.

These films are so inextricably tied in with the previous ones that in order to "get it" you would almost had to have watched the previous installment again prior to seeing this. With most long running franchises, each film is capable of standing alone to some extent, despite being released a number of years later. If you haven't spent the time watching, at minimum, the previous installment(s), these just aren't going to make much sense. That's more time and effort than I'm willing to devote to a "b" grade horror franchise. That's why I'm...done with this franchise.

Better yet, what was I thinking buying this? I got it cheap, and literally everything about this release is great....except the movie is terrible. Good quality, good amount of bonus features...you just wont care because of the movie that came before it. I loved the first one, was bored with the second, the third is my favorite in the serious, hated part 4. The pattern should be that I like this one, but no, its dumb, Bad ending, bad scares.

For the most part I've enjoyed the majority of the Paranormal Activity movies. The first one was of course the best of the series and the others have mostly at least been worth watching although a few of them were just so so. This final installment is worthwhile but dare I say, the magic of the series is gone. Fans of the series will still like this one most likely but at the end of the day most will admit that it was time to move on

If you're a fan of the Paranormal Activity series, you don't need much convincing- this film, subtitled "The Ghost Dimension" brings more of what you have come to love- high quality horror served up with a low key approach. If turning off your lights at night sends a shiver up your spine, you'll love this final (?) entry in one of the most successful horror series of all time! Don't let the naysayers sway you- it's a fun, good, spooky time.

The movie was enjoyable, unfortunally it is the last in the series and while they say it answers many questions, it also opens more questions then it answers. Without giving spoilers, the ending is both open-ended and final depending on if they ever decide to do another which at the moment they say no. The movie follows the usual scare tatics of the previous tho there were points where even i jumped.
