A: I tested with my Canon A-1 with 50mm f1.4. It does fit, snag and may different ways, lens up, lens towards front, down, side ways. But it is not an ideal shape for 35mm camera with a short lens as this bag is wide and relative flat, thus the lens protrude and deshape the bag.
