Q: Can I stack my DVD player and my cable box? Is it enough room for both? Really don't have room for the dual shelving unit. Thanks

A: I mounted the rack to the wall making sure I hit the stud. I have a DVD Media center extender as the base unit on it (which is about the size of a small DVD player). I stacked a small HD cable box on it and I also stacked a small 4 port network switch on it so I could operate both my TV and the extender devices on my Network without adding another cat 5 from my main switch. To be on the safe side I used 3M command Velcro strips between devices to make sure they stay were I wanted. I also used cable management channels to make it a professional looking installation and it all fit within the bracket size.

A: A game console or cable box will fit on the shelf as long as their feet are not longer than the shelf. It’s ok if a little of the front of the unit extends over the edge.

A: There are two versions of this product the ESHV10 does not come with the shelf, just the arms the shelf would sit on. I don’t have the model number of the version that does come with a shelf but it is ESHV10 with a suffix. I just made my own shelf.

Shelf Minus the Shelf
Where art thou fair shelf? Where is the glass that goes over the arms? I bought on my phone, so I suppose I have no one else to blame that I didn't see it had no actual shelf to put the DVD player on. It took my husband less than 30 minutes to read the directions, assemble the parts, and put on the wall. It kinda sticks out way past the 50 inch tv and surround sound bar. It is holding it up just by placing the box on top. We it will not stay up if you mess with it a lot, putting in movies and taking them out. By the time we opened it and looked at it, the return phase was over. I thought we were just going to have to put a piece of wood under it, but it worked without it. The price wasn't much, and I used my rewards $5.00 off, so it will be nothing exciting, but functional. This is one of those cases that I didn't read the fine print on a small screen. The box it came in made us think it was used or already opened. There was nothing to secure it in the box as it came to us. Minimal directions are included on top of that.

Great for putting up a DVD player and hiding the w
This shelf is nice, cheap price, too! It was easy to install on the wall and hides the wires nicely. The only thing I didn't like was that it's arm span is kinda wide, making it perfect for wider... 10"...or more DVD players.My DVD is not that wide, but it still makes level contact with the arms. Just made it. If my DVD player was really small and square, it would not have worked.

The component shelf looks great
The shelf looks great and installs pretty easy. You do need to be sure you have it somewhere where it won't get bumped as it could easily fall off the stand it sits on. I mounted mine about 4 feet up the wall - in front of a treadmill - so it concerned me. I zip tied it to the shelf with black zip ties and it still looks pretty good. I think they make this same model with a small glass shelf that it sits on rather then just sitting on the shelf bars itself. It does have 4 little pads you attach to the 2 braces it sits on - just a small surface area vs. having a glass shelf on it as well. Again, looks great but may want model with glass shelf instead.
