Person of Interest is maybe a better than average series, about a group of people who are out to save the innocent from the bad people or incidences. They have developed a "Machine" to follow the people of New York who may need their help. Most of the actors are good, but Harold Finch (played by Michael Emerson) is really a strange person. It may be that it is difficult to understand how they can follow 15 million people who live in New York, but once you get past that point, how do they follow their agents with their Machine. Again, you have to accept that ability to follow specific people out of all the people in New York. Once you can accept all the basic background, the stories in them selves are not all bad, in fact they are entertaining. It helps that they have actors that like Jim Caviezel and Sarah Shahi that fit the roles that are given to them and good supporting actors. If you enjoy Agents of Shield, you will enjoy this series.

This Blu-ray combo pack incudes 4 Blu-ray discs and 6 DVD's and a UV copy. Each set contains all 23 Season 3 episodes. This is a great value for two complete sets. The BDs look great. The DVDs however, when played on a Sony DVD player, look dark with no shadow detail, too much contrast, and muddy colors in the dark scenes, of which there are many. Play these same DVDs in a Sony Blu-ray player, and they look fine. This third season of POI is my favorite so far. [SPOILER ALERT!!!] Our heroes defeat the corrupt police conspiracy known as "HR." but at a terrible price. There is also some backstory on Finch, Reese and Shaw. The episodes from Episode 11 on set up Season 4. Both the BDs and the DVDs have the same extras, with the BDs they are on the individual discs and the DVDs have them all on the last disc. The only commentary is on the season finale by Michael Emerson (Finch). Included is an episode guide pamphlet.

      Person Of Interest Season 3

Person of Interest is the best show on TV today- in my opinion anyway. This season 3 Blu-ray is a must have for any PoI fan or anyone who is a fan of quality television & wants to get the most out of HD. The picture quality is top notch, which can be hit or miss transfers these days. The sound is impeccable. Along w/ the Blu-ray discs, there is another set of DvD that also includes the full season 3 as well as the digital download (Ultraviolet, not iTunes) My only jab is the lack of extras. What is included is great, the gag reel is hysterical & makes one enjoy this hit show even more. But for a show this popular it might behove the studios to include commentaries, more behind the scenes, etc. Especially given the dramatic turns & twists included in this particular season. But, victim or perpetrator, this Blu-ray set is a must buy. Keep kneecapping.

Person of Interest is certainly one of the most intelligent shows offered by TV today. I am a big fan of Jim Caviezel and when I heard that he was doing this series I had to wait until the first season finished to watch it on DVD as I am not connected to commercial TV. I was blown away by the intriguing and intricate plotting and just the right amount of "techie" gadgetry to keep my interest; not to mention the layers of mystery surrounding the characters and the technology. And who are the good guys and the bad guys really? Sometimes it's difficult to tell the difference. Sometimes the line you won't cross needs to be moved a few inches to the left - or right. And, sometimes, maybe, dead is better. The viewer definitely gets a full dose of paranoia each episode, not to mention the intense need to duck every now and then during the watching.

This show is great and I love this season's DVD box set. The gag reel is cool and you get to see some final words from one of the main cast members who was killed off during mid third season. If you have the previous seasons on DVD you will enjoy the special features on this DVD more. There are other special features such as the shows creators (and others) talking about how the future of Artificial Intelligence may look and how it relates to the show, the 2013 Comic-con Panel (only includes cast members: Caviezel, Shahi, Emerson, and Acker, [not Henson or Chapman who I enjoy seeing in interviews], and some of the creators), info. about how it is to work with Boker (who plays Bear on the show), comic book shots of various scenes in the show, and commentary by Emerson on episode Deus Ex Machina.

Person of Interest is the most underrated show on TV right now. Since this is about the product itself, I wont go into a full review of Season 3. The product is amazing for the price, Blu Ray discs, DVD discs and Ultraviolet code to be redeemed on Flixster to add to your digital library so you can stream it from anywhere. If your not familiar with Vudu, check it out. The cinematography is top notch in this series and should be winning awards every year. Season 3 featured amazing ending, the last episode could have been considered a series ending. It was an amazing end and leaves us thirsty for Season 4.

Simply put? Season 3 builds on the greatness of seasons 1 and 2. Do yourself a favor - don't look up any spoilers. Just buy it and watch it. It's awesome. I haven't read any of the other reviews for this product. If ANYONE has dropped details about this season or the following season, then they should be smacked. TWICE. I would recommend the Blu-ray format because there is detailed text and the hidden details which are difficult to make out in the standard dvd format. Not to overhype things but... it only gets better. Season 3 is ridiculous. And Season 4? Goodness. Just watch it.

POI is one of the best shows on TV. In the current era where electronic surveillance should be everyone's concern, the episodes show the effects of when computer intelligence exceeds that of human control and possible consequences. I love "Team Machine" (Harold, John, Carter, Shaw and Root) the side where human morals must be balanced against the excessive surveillance of technology that may not have moral concerns. We lose one of our heroes in this season, but the team must survive to balance human morals vs machine's blind logic..
