The Honest TRUTH
I'm going to enlighten everyone, so they get an honest opinion on this item. You get what you paid for. Back in 2012 I purchased this exact amp. It was my 1st amp, I didn't know much about car radios at the time. It gave me "noise/feedback" and it upset me, because I thought "there was something wrong with the wiring/ground within the head unit". That was not the case. If you purchase this you will get noise. You can "not" turn the gains up much, you will get more noise. The 4 channels give the engine noise/feedback. The 5th channel being your Sub Channel you don't hear it on there. Now to the present June of 2019. Quality control must have NOT stepped up, because this is my 2nd 1800.5 anarchy amp with the "same characteristics". When I hooked up a Hi-Fonics 5 channel amp, I didn't have problems with "engine noise/feedback or anything". Like my audiophile cousin mentioned - The more you spend on your amp or go with a higher/better branded Amp, the chances of "noise/feedback or the pop of the amp turning on" is much lesser. That's why people spend on their car radios, if I had only known that years ago. So this baby will get replaced but I by something better. I hope to God, I saved someone's life from any time wasted or agony/pain. (Oh yes it does get HOT)

great amp for the price
very easy to set up, clean power, well made . I ran 4-6.5 JBL GX 628 speakers 2-8" planet audio subs with a Kenwood head set DPX303MBT so i could use the USB from my Ipod. sound is great

Great amp
Does exactly what it says it should. Powers not only a subwoofer with no problem but channels power to the existing speakers making an unbelievable sound (with stock Hyundai speakers). Definitely worth the money spent.
