Years ago it used to be that in order to have a machine with decent speed you had a lot of RAM 16-32 GB or more was not unheard of, these days however, memory isn't as important so many system builders don't build their machines with 16,32, or even 64GB any longer, they're building them with 4 or 8GB. This is due primarily to the OS have gotten better with how it uses physical memory. Well I had one such system build with very little memory, so I was looking for an upgrade to make my gaming better, and I thought this was step 1 in probably was going to be a 3 step upgrade, 1 memory, 2 SSD (new hard disk) and 3 new video card.
Well I've slowed my roll on the other two upgrades after purchasing this memory. It has really increased the speed of my system and has made me take another look at my upgrades going forward.
This is great memory as a replacement for older, slower memory, or as a supplement to current memory. I had no problems with installation, nor compatibility. Very good decision.
