Great Card but not for older PC's
This card should have been great, no doubt about it. PNY is a solid reputable brand and you can recognize the quality stuff just by looking on it. And initially it was true. No installation issues in Windows XP Pro Sp2. The driver offered a lot of configuration options; it was definitely better than what I could do with my old ATI card. Despite the fact that there was no fan installed the card was not generating too much of a heat.
But... after all I could not use it in my older Intel PIII /600MHz, 1GB RAM desktop PC. No, not because it was incompatible with the onboard AGP 2x-4x controller; that was not a problem.
The real problem was that it was freezing my computer every time when I tried to play a video like a YouTube or DVD. The reason was that it was taking 100% of a CPU power. The task manager's graph was jumping to the top 100% even when I was just scrolling the page in IE browser.
Diagnosis: you need to have a multimedia CPU like P4 MMX or P5 in order to get this card to work well.
BTW, I tested it under the Linux Ubuntu OS and got the same result.

Unexpectedly Great Value
I went into purchasing the PNY GeForce 6200 256MB AGP Graphics Card simply looking for a decent performer at a low price. Knowing that, by today's standards, 256MB for video is a bare minimum, I really did not expect anything too robust. What came was, in some aspects, exactly what I expected. In many aspects, however, this card surpassed my expectations.
Installation was a breeze, up and running within minutes. Once installed, I fired up Half-Life 2, expecting to see slowly rendered video and choppy game play. The performance was astounding!!! Smooth action, fast response, only getting the slightest hint of choppiness during moments of dense scenery (such as destroying a Combine Gunship at close enough range to only view half of the ship on the screen).
Overall, I would say this card is excellent for people, such as I am, who are not "hard core" gamers, but yet expect their computers to perform at a certain standard that sits well above "minimal", but yet below "bleeding edge". Great card for everyday use with some gaming thrown in, for fun.

Great card at great price
Bought this card to replace the on board graphics in a 6 year old Compaq Preserio so I could use Win 7. AGP slot was available and wanted something with onboard memory for general purpose computing(not gaming). BB had the best price on this item. Card came complete with DVI/VGA adapter. Computer recognized it and swithced cards w/o chaging in the BIOS.
