Q: Does this work as an internal storage for the PlayStation 5?
A: I'm wondering the same thing. I think the metal plate on the ps5 might not fit back on, due to the thickness of the heatsink. I'm trying to find out for certain. It probably is too thick. Someone needs to create a 3rd party ssd cover that's for sure. Or you could just create a custom case for the ps5 and void your warranty. I think console manufacturers should move to custom building options. And stick with services and branding. They would be better off financially. Then again they'd be opening themselves up to the freedom of pc gaming. And they would have less control over decisions. The community would drive the corporations options. Turning the tables on themselves so to speak. I would suggest trying it out and if it doesn't work, you'll have the option to return it by Jan 6 of 2022. Only if you can afford it. I also wouldn't want to risk damaging your ps5.
