Nostalgia progressing! ...wait.
|Posted .Owned for 9 months when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendSomething is missing from this Blu Ray release. Need I spell it out? For the casual fans of Pokémon or (grand)parents who bought this for a kid, let me fill you in - there are shorts before the final presentation. Usually. The three movies on this disc do not have that because ... reasons. Such a shame, because they're the most memorable. They're adorable. Leaving them off the disc it what disappoints fans who bought this the most. Fortunately the first two are burned into my memory from watching them a handful of times when I was 11 years old AND there are Warner Brother releases which do contain the Pikachu shorts before the movies. To this day we don't know why Viz Media refused to put anything other than the main movies in this package. There aren't even subtitles or option for Japanese audio and English subs. Reminds me of "Christmas with the Kranks" ~ just the title screen to choose PLAY and that's about it. I mess around with DVDs and Blu Rays as a hobby. For 12 years I've been ripping/burning/converting to various formats and have always paid a lot of attention to the storage, on and off the discs to see what can or can't fit somewhere. A non-commercial Blu Ray disc can hold up to 50 gigabytes of data which is more than adequate for most movies. A simple analysis of this three-pack comes to a total of ... 39.6 gigs. The shorts we're all complaining about are only a handful of minutes each and would probably eat up 1.5 GB at the most, considering animation is a lot more forgiving than live action footage in terms of data usage. About the movies themselves ~ first was and still is good. There's even a freakin' CGI remake of it streaming somewhere. It has some good feels to it, tugs on the heart a bit, and a nice message some of us still reference to this day. The second movie isn't in everyone's favor but I enjoy the soundtrack. Upon its launch I even had the soundtrack CD! The third is weird and some may like it, myself being on the fence as it's a little all over the place.

NOSTALGIA hit me hard!
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendWhen it comes to Pokemon movies these 3 are absolute classics! Yea, they are cheesy and very predictable but the animation and the voice acting are fantastic. The fact that #3 is part of this package should be a must for all Pokemon fans.

Pokémon Original Trilogy
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendThis Pokémon movie collection contains the first 3 classic Pokémon movies that started it all. The picture quality isn’t amazing, but they look much better on Blu ray than on DVD or even VHS. This collection does not contain the original Pikachu shorts that played at the start of each of these movies, which knocks this collection down a bit, but it’s still the best way to way these movies. Worth a buy especially on sale if you’re an OG Pokémon fan.

Great price for the best Pokémon movies
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendI’ve owned all these movies on VHS as a child. It’s great to have them all on blu ray, even though it’s on 1 disc. There aren’t any of the shorts but for the price, it’s worth it.
