I nice taste of the lower end of high end analog

I was a little concerned about buying this given I have read about hum and rumble issues but experienced neither. It is a solidly built little table. I have a lower end Rega with a Sumiko Blue Point 2 so hard to compare given that Blue Point runs about the same as this table but the sound is good enough to really enjoy vinyl. I am running with a Parasound phono unit into an Audio Research LS17 to Audio Research D400IIs played through Magnepan 20.7s. I know this phono set up is not in the same league as the rest of my gear but had Best Buy gift certificates, liked the Beatles unit and not a huge vinyl guy but wanted a second turntable for main floor system.. Auto speed selection is nice, set up is easy and it is a good looking fairly hefty table for this price range. Worth a look at this price point

If you can get this anywhere close to the same price as the standard Debut Carbon DC, do it! This is an upgraded turntable with a much nicer acrylic platter ($129 extra) and a built in Speed Box ($129 extra). The speed box allows you to change record speed at the touch of a button rather than have to move the belt to another pulley. Also it maintains a more stable speed this way. The Beatles print is cool, but not a necessity for me. Anywhere close to $400 is a steal for this table. Normally closer to $600. BTW, the Ortofon cartridge sounds awesome! This setup with the right amplifier sounds better than CD. Much warmer with more depth to the music.

For what you get in here which is the included acrylic platter and ortofon 2m red which would cost you $230 alone made me purchased this over the audio technica 120 lp ($299 chinese made copy of Technics SL1200) and over the denon 300f ($199). This thing Sounds amazing the quality is great, company based in austria, manufactured in czech and slovakia no hum at all very smooth and quiet. if you dont need built in amplifier (built in amps are no good) again if you dont need a direct drive, pitch control and plan to use it just for home listening I would recommend this turntable you just need a amplifier and speakers and you are set. NOTE: make sure you provide amplifier with phono input. cartridge is very easy to replace for future stylus maintenance. Hope this helps

Definitely a uniquely styled turntable. My guess is unless you are a Beatles fan you will probably not be looking at this one. But if you are, here are some of my experiences so far: I am a Beatles fan and love the style of this turntable. Setting it up was a bit of a hassle but after watching some tutorial videos online I was fine. The table does require an external preamp. I purchased a pro-ject preamp and have it connected to my Denon AVR x3300. The turntable does have an issue with "humming" that has been well documented on-line for pro-ject turntables. It is intermittent. It goes away though if I "jiggle" the ground cable connected to the turntable. So far that has worked. Keeping my fingers crossed. Otherwise, it is a fairly easy turntable to operate and the quality of playback is very good.

I'm one of thole old hippies returning to vinyl and trying to build up the library I had decades ago; it's a challenge but we are fortunate to have a better selection of turntables today than back in the day. Pro-Ject has a good rep so when the email came announcing BB's limited edition items I jumped on this with no 2nd thoughts. I am not disappointed at all. Pro-Ject hit it out of the park with this model and its features at its price-point. I see today the price is reduced to same as the regular model. I didn't buy this for collectability but because it is a very good turntable for the money. Being the Beatles-edition is a really cool freebie.

I got this on sale and with all the features that comes with it, it’s a no brainer if you are looking to buy a turntable in this price range. Add all the features it has and you will not find anything less than $700 in any brand. If you have a very good amp ($1500 price range) with a very good preamp, speaker ($1000~) and a subwoofer ($750~), you will get the most out of this turntable. Anything less will relatively diminish the sound quality. Don’t get me wrong, it will still sound good when added on any stereo system but if it doesn’t, it might not be a match with your amp/speaker. I added Q-up and now I’m all set.

Very nice turntable for the price. I tried a Rega P1, had to return it because it ran too fast. The Pro-ject is dead-on speedwise, thanks to the built-in electronic speed control, and comes with a better cartridge. Setup is a snap and you're off and running within minutes. I think the Pro-ject has a better tonearm too. The Debut Carbon Esprit SB is definite bargain in this price range, and includes several upgrade tweaks (acrylic platter, speed box, etc.) that save hundreds compared to buying the basic Debut Carbon and adding upgrades later.

Had been looking to upgrade my current turntable which I bought for around $400 for quite some time. Not a huge Beatles fan even though I appreciate their music, but the opportunity to have something collectible while at the same time getting a table that every review said sounded great was too much to pass up. Not disappointed at all, easy to set up and you can tell the build quality the moment you put vinyl on it and start listening. Highly recommended if you are looking for a step above entry level and what something that everyone will talk about.
