Q: Which ChromeOS version is on this refurbished machine?
A: The Chrome operating system will automatically update to the latest version available, if it is not already installed.
Q: If I were to get a game such as Roblox on it would it run normally, smoothly. or laggy?.
A: While Acer does not test many gaming applications we would recommend you check that the computer meets the system requirements of the application/game to determine if it will work. Remember Chromebooks run off apps and you cannot install .exe files on these devices so you'll need to check on Google Play or Chrome Web store if they offer a Roblox app. You might also post your question on the Acer Community where there are many users that post questions and offer help and advice on Acer products. Q: I’m want a used lap top just to play PC games on like sims. Is this a good one?
A: Chromebooks are different from Windows laptop products in that they are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and documents living in the cloud. Because of this they don’t have much for on board storage but they also are not expensive either. Chromebooks run off apps like an Android phone or tablet so you cannot download and install applications or .exe files. If you need to use third party software applications that must be installed on the computer, a Chromebook is likely not for you, where a Windows laptop would suit you better.
