A:AnswerI have my Chromecast plugged into the USB port and it does power off when the TV is powered down. What are you powering? Maybe you need to upgrade the firmware.
A:AnswerThere is no built-in DVD player. It does have a special 'channel' selection that will allow you to select your DVD player directly from the main menu on the TV screen instead of requiring you to remember which input it's plugged into and then remembering some fancy key sequence to get it to work. There is also a media player app built into the set. I've not used it myself, but I think that it works with the USB port that's in the back of the set.
A:AnswerNo, you do not need cable for this to work. You do need internet service. ROKU channels are streaming over the internet. I've never had cable. For a lot of people who use ROKU, that's the point. NOT to pay for Cable.
