- Answer The option to make your screen wide is available via your remote. Play around with it. Get to know the features and what the buttons can do. Do this until you have mastered it. The remote has many many options that enable the t.v. to do many many things. If you are still having trouble figuring out how to make your screen wide call Insignia customer service and speak to them. Perhaps your remote is defective Maybe it's the television.In any event I wish u luck with your problem.

QuestionI use a converter box on my old TV. a Philips Magnavox. -- a monster. I just have rabbit ears on top of it that are connected through the box. I do see plenty of channels,though. A new HDTV would be nice; but will it work in my house?

- Answer It should. If the rabbit ears work on the converter box, they should work on this tv. The digital tuner in this tv is better than most others in this price range.
