I own over 100 of these Insignia TVs. They will not play video in the USB port, I wish they would.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Insignia TVs do not have an encoder so you cannot play the PPT in a video format. If you hook up a laptop through HDMI you can play the PPT through the laptop. The other way is the USB, but you must convert each slide into a picture, then that way you switch between each slide with the remote. Screen shot each slide and make it into a JPG and put on to a flash drive. The TV will read that, but will not read just PPT or video formats.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you mean the computer will be connected to the TV you can. This will do so if your computer has an HDMI video output or you have a converter cable for a computer plug to HDMI. Don't use any other TV input other than HDMI. This TV is 1080p as is most computer displays. As long as you stick to 1080p or less, (1920 X 1080) you can display anything your computer display can see. You'll need to just get a cable to go from whatever type of plug your computer has to the TV's HDMI port. If your computer is set to anything higher than 1080p it wont work. If you mean taking your Power Point file and playing it without a computer on the TV it won't. This TV has no capability to play any video files at all, even from the USB port. The BB guy you talked to doesn't know what they are talking about.
