A:AnswerYes, you can download Netflix and Amazon Prime movies to this tablet and then watch them without being connected to Netflix, or Amazon Prime, or the internet. I do this all of the time, especially when I travel. Works GREAT!
A:AnswerNaive question. GPS refers to the GPS receiver built into the device that receives signals from the multitude of GPS satellites. Any GPS app can translate those satellite signals into a location on earth [latitude, longitude, altitude]. BUT if you want to see a map of where you are, if you want routing or directions then those functions will require an internet connection of some sort as the map;s and routers are internet databases etc.
A:AnswerYes, using Wifi. It's not a data tablet so you would have to sign up for a data plan or just use whatever Wifi you have available. My mom loves this tablet by the way!
A:AnswerIf you are referring to an indicator light, likely this is the power light. Please refer to the user guide for more information on indicator lights on your tablet.
A:AnswerYes. Actually it comes with a Skype App already built in. Its a great tablet.....highly recommend it. It is only $30.00 dollars more than the comparable 'Insignia" tablet that seems to have the same processor and specs.....but I returned the "Insignia" and found that this Acer is a far better product....runs faster and without any App compatibility problems.
