“Only one of the ear buds is charging fully. This would not be too horrible except for the fact that it's the "master" earbud so both buds die after roughly 15 minutes of use. How do I fix this problem? I believe this is certainly a manufacturer error.”

if it happened the same way it happened to me then...make sure you place the earbuds in the correct side if not it seems like one might get charge if lucky. At least that is what was true in my case.
