QuestionBefore purchasing this remote I asked online if it would sync up with the 2nd generation Firestick and was told it would. I bought it. The packaging states it will sync up with 2nd generation Firesticks. After many tries, it won't sync up. Any ideas?

- Answer No, mine did not either. I have both 1st and 2nd generation and difficulty syncing with both. Got it one time with the 2nd generation them after a couple days it lost sync and would not connect again. Also the fire stick always defaults as the main source everytime I turn on the TV even with the source left on another one when it was turned off. I was told it's a fire stick programming issue cause I have attempted to change my settings on the TV and nothing works, it continues to turn the fire stick on every time I turn on the TV. Frustrating.

- Answer It will work great but if you’re interested in keeping the old one, all you have to do is resync it. Hold down home button for 30 seconds. And you may have to do it multiple times but eventually it’ll resync.

- Answer Hi Kris, This remote is just a replacement remote for someone who already owns a Fire TV Stick, Stick Lite, 4K or Cube. It will not work unless you already have one of those or an older version. Each devices has its own differences, such as with the Fire TV Stick Lite does not offer power and volume control on the remote, and the regular Fire TV stick does. The 4K version offers the ability to watch available 4K content on a 4K TV, and the Fire TV cube offers several benefits, such as hands free control as it has the ability of an Echo Dot all built into one device, control of most all home theater devices through the IR controller, as well as 4K capability. - Answer Hello Edralaurelio, this is just the remote itself. This particular remote is to be used with Fire TV devices. There is no fee to use a Fire TV device, but certain streaming services do require a subscription. Have a great day!

- Answer Hello Helpme, the Fire TV Stick is a great option to turn a non smart TV into a smart TV! It allows you to access Netflix and other streaming apps on the TV The device is plugged into. If you have multiple TV's in your home, you will need to purchase a Fire Stick per TV, or unplug the device and move it to your other TV when needed. The Fire Stick requires an internet connection and you would need to have a Netflix subscription to view content. Hope this helps!

- Answer Yes it works very well, the only exception is the microphone button isn't compatible (no voice commands available like with the Shield remote). The volume controls alone make this my preferred remote over the Shield's.
