QuestionMy older kindle has port problems......will not always charge. This seems to be a common problem. Do the new ones have the same problem?

- Answer I don't know if it's the same problem, but I just received my Fire HD 8 7th Gen today and charging is abysmally slow. I had to turn it off completely to see any real progress being made.

- Answer No data plan payments, if that's what you mean. But keep in mind to fully enjoy all the features and benefits you will need a quality Internet connection at home. This is a tablet, not a smartphone.

- Answer Go into your amazon account and go to your books. Tell Amazon to load the books to your new device and they will. You have do to this one at a time, but it can be done. No easy way to do that in bulk however..

- Answer Yes, mine has ads. Doesn't bother me...the main screen always has an ad, when you pick it up to use it, just swipe up to get to your regular main screen. No worse than a screen saver.
