- Answer No, One Echo can control a household of compatible smart devices in different rooms. I have 4 Echos each in different rooms just to hear speak to them and hear them better - they also communicate with each other too.

QuestionI got TPlink smart plug and never did figure it out. Is this one really easy? Also my question really is will it work with lamps with inline switches?

- Answer It will work with a lamp with an inline switch - BUT - you would have to keep the inline switch always set to "on". If you set the inline switch to "off", Alexa will not be able to turn the light on again. By keeping the inline switch set to "on", the Amazon plug can itself be turned on and off using Alexa, thereby controlling power to the lamp. As long as the inline switch is on Alexa can turn the plug on to let power flow to it. If you turn the inline switch off, Alexa would be able to turn the plug on and allow power to flow to the lamp, but with the inline switch off the light will not turn on. If you still have the TPlink plug, you can install the Kasa app on your phone. Then you can enable the Kasa skill in Alexa to integrate Alexa with the TPlink plug.

- Answer Yes. If you have Windows 10, you should be able to see a taskbar icon for the Microsoft Store. It looks like a little shopping bag with the red/green/blue/yellow Windows logo. If you open that up, you can search for Alexa in the Microsoft Store.

- Answer No. The plug only changes the on/off state. The options to dim the lamps would be 1) if the lamps themselves already have a dimmable switch and a dimmable bulb you could dim manually using the lamp switch - or 2) install a dimmable smart bulb that works with Alexa. TPlink makes some pretty good smart bulbs that will work with Alexa via the Kasa skill. As an additional bonus, TPlink also makes dimmable color changing smart bulbs that can be controlled by Alexa, allowing you to choose both brightness and color.

- Answer It’s supposed to be for indoor use only. I’ve used it outside for Christmas lights, but wrapped loosely with a small ziplock bag and under protection of the porch. Had no problem, even when it snowed.

- Answer You have to go into the app and set a routine for it. So choose the three lines at the top left, then choose Routine. Then select the white circle w/the plus in it and next it will say New Routine at the top. Under When this Happens, you select the white circle again choose your smart plug device from the list. Once that is done, then you choose Add Action and choose what you want it to do. It will take you back to the New Routine screen to Save the action. You can set it up to do may routines. I had mine set up to turn off the tv at 9:00pm. At that time I did not have a routine to turn it back on so I just asked Alexa to turn First Plug on. Mine is named First Plug and you can edit the names of your devices.

- Answer Yes. I have several echos throughout the house. I can control any of the plugs from any of the echos. Each plug get named separately. For instance, I have one that is "Office Lamp" and another that is "Bedroom Lamp". I can say, "Alexa, turn on the bedroom lamp." from anywhere in the house and it knows which one to turn on.

- Answer Hello, Eric! You can definitely do this! In your Alexa app, you can set up a routine. To do this, click on "More" in the app and you will see something that says "Routines". From there, you can go through and set up a routine to make the smart plug trigger on/off on specific days at specific times. This will make it so you don't have to say or do anything, the device will just know what you want it to do! I hope that helps! Have a great day!
