Set it to cool 74 and heat 69 so that if it detects hotter than 74, it kicks on. Sounds like you have it just on heat.

Gently detach the device faceplate from the wall plate, wait a few seconds, and then reattach it. If restarting your thermostat doesn't resolve the problem, you can try a partial reset. A partial reset erases all data on the thermostat except for HVAC configurations. On the Smart Thermostat, press the Up Temperature and Mode buttons together for 10 seconds, until rEs appears on the display. Press and hold the Mode button for 5 seconds, until the device resets. You can also double check the Thermostats connection wire if it has a c wire adapter. Sometimes, your furnace or AC system won't hit the thermostat temperature because the thermostat isn't correctly calibrated. This can be a common issue with new thermostats, and also often occurs after a power outage! Hope that helps!
