- Answer You might need an amplifier, that being said I have the antenna connected to an amplifier and going to a HD Radio receiver of which I am getting FM and HD radio stations coming out clear.

QuestionVERY GOOD FOR INDOOR USE? Most reviews/images show this antenna mounted outdoors. We cannot mount outdoors, do not have an attic, so the antenna must be on an int wall or window. Location is Venice, CA. Most stations here are on Mt Wilson, 28 miles away.

QuestionI plan to put this antenna on my roof. If it needs to be tuned does someone have to climb on the roof to do it?

- Answer The trick is to know which direction your local station signals are coming from. If you point it in the general direction initially, adjustments should not be necessary. But yes, if it needs to be pointed differently, someone will need to climb up there to rotate it left or right

QuestionMy daughter is thinking about getting rid of Direct TV. I want to know that if she gets rid of DTV, what device would I need to record my programs? That I would need with an indoor antenna and which type of antenna would be a good choice.

- Answer I have used both the Channel Master and Tivo. Considered the Tivo first. Ended up purchasing a Channel Master instead through Best Buy because at the time, the Channel Master provided an internet based channel guide meaning no monthly subscription (which the Tivo had). After about 5 years, Tivo offered a special purchase that included a "life-time subscription" to their channel guide. I now have both! Tivo in the living room and Channel Master in the Family room (big screen, surround sound, etc). Both devices are attached to the same Antennas Direct that I purchased - and it works great. I feed 4 televisions from the one antenna using the existing cable wiring that was in the house. Your daughter can do the same thing - disconnect the Dish, and hook this antenna to the line that goes in the house. Search "OTA channels in my area" where you can insert your address and see what stations are available and how strong the signal is!

- Answer I didnt do anything special when I installed it - simply mounted it to the wall and ran the cable into the house,

- Answer From my experience, when i first got antenna i placed in my patio facing towards the broadcast channels and was able to scan 56 channels. I then mounted it on my patio roof which with included mount out the antenna approx 12 ft from ground level. I also hooked up my line amplifier from my old antenna re scanned and picked up a total of 89 channels. All locked with solid signal. Depending where you are you may or may not need amplification. Antenna does come with a stand attachment for indoor use.

- Answer Hi Sam, great question! We have a free app called Antenna Point you can download to your iOS or Android phone. Once you arrive at your destination, the app will identify your location. You will see the towers in the surrounding area, so you aim the antenna in the right direction to pick up the TV signals. Also, make sure the antenna is as high up as possible, and remember to re-scan for channels every time it is moved. - Answer I don't believe it would matter the voltage of the TV. Connects to the antenna input and does not require power.

QuestionFrom the photos I've seen it appears that this antenna does not need to be high up in the air above the roof. Many have it next to their tele. I live 59 miles from LA. Not sure if I need to look for an antenna mast. Should I? Thanks.

- Answer I did not need to install this outside and it picked up more channels than I imagined. The key is logging on to the website they provide to know where the towers are. You can also place it where you want and then perform a scan and play with the location where you receive the most channels.

QuestionMy TV is actually a plasma monitor , and was hooked up to a cable box I have disconnected the cable service. The monitor does not have a tuner I have purchased a converter box. will this antenna work with the converter box connections?

- Answer Yes, the clearstream 2Max HDTV antenna can be used indoors without mounting bars. I purchased 2, one for living room and bedroom and works great!!
