"Identical" Amazon and eBay ones often do not.
They may get audio out, and often bypass license royalties by trying to use BT rather than Lightning with tiny BT DAC.
Debugging off brands may be difficult. V-moda is at least a familiar name. Sorry to not be more specific, but I have had several name brands and off brand corded earbuds work, but only with a verified Apple adapter.
