I have a new M1 MacBook Pro and the keyboard works with that just fine so long as you allow Bluetooth devices to wake the system.

All new iMacs come with four USB-A ports so you can definitely plug both your keyboard and your Apple optical drive (disk drive) into your new iMac for usage. If your keyboard is wireless (Bluetooth-enabled), you will also be able to connect it to your new iMac. You can contact an Apple Specialist at Best Buy or Apple directly with further questions about purchasing your new iMac. Also, if you are in the market for a new iMac, it might be prudent to wait for the next generation of iMacs that will be powered by Apple's own processors rather than Intel processors. If not, purchasing a new iMac (of either 21.5" or 27" variants) with an Intel Core i7 is highly recommended and will ultimately increase the lifespan of your iMac. Hope this helps!
