• A:Answer No. It has a regular usb cord. You can use it with a usb-c port only if you use it with an adapter. It worked perfectly for me with a usb-c adapter.

• A:Answer Well, probably not this one. According to the box, it is compatible with Mac systems that do not have optical drives. There are other brands of external dvd drives. Look for one that says it is compatible with Chromebooks. It should say on its product description if it is compatible.

However, there is no guarantee that it will work for you. You can try it and see. If your device only has usb-c ports, you will need an adapter. If it has a USB port, it will at least connect. Now whether or not it is compatible is another issue.

• A:Answer Yes. You can play music discs with it. If you are using a Macbook Pro make sure you are using a regular usb to c adapter . The disc drive will not run when plugged into the Hyperdrive DUO Hub adapter. I kept getting a "Needs power. Please plug device into Macbook" message.
