• The storage is for the Apps or games. 32 gig should be enough for the most popular streaming apps.

• You can store Apps that you have downloaded and also pictures.

• If your just streaming all you need is the 32gb, the 64 is if your going to play games or additional add-ons.

• If you purchase movies etc from the Apple store. More movies more storage

• It's not a router. This is used with internet to stream channels. The space is to download apps (the streaming channels, games etc etc).
