Will this camera and on to older systems ? null

It will with some but not others. https://kb.arlo.com/000062284/What-is-the-difference-between-each-Arlo-SmartHub-and-base-station Disclaimer: I did have a number of problems with the Ultra and the VMB4500 base station - but I really don't think it was the comparability of the 2 devices - but rather general software glitches.

Currently the camera requires the purchase of the Ultra base although in the future it will be backwards compatible with other bases although some of the features may be unavailable. One has the choice of using this base as a second base within the customer's Arlo account or all the cameras from the current base can be removed and added to the Ultra base.
