A:AnswerHello - it might be best to use the "Compare" feature on the site to do a side-by-side comparison. A quick comparison will show that the G36 is the newest technology - DOCSIS 3.1 modem, and Wi-Fi 6 router. Only DOCSIS 3.1 modems can achieve Gigabit speeds so if you subscribe to Gigabit speed plans, the older DOCSIS 3.0 modems won't achieve those speeds (the Motorola MB7621 is DOCSIS 3.0 and Wi-Fi 5). It really comes down to what speeds you subscribe to and how to get the most out of those speeds. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerDear user,
This is a DOCSIS cable gateway and only works with DOCSIS cable providers. It does not support fiber service. Please contact Verizon support for more information on compatible devices.
A:AnswerThe 2.5 speed port is a faster port then the 1 gig. Should you subscribe to comcast's gigbit plan that gives you 1.2GBPS, this 2.5 port hard wired into another 2.5 gbps on a computer will give you the full speeds of paid service.
A:AnswerThis product is supported most of the US Cable Service providers. Please check with your specific service provider to ensure this product is supported and matches your service tier.
