A:Answer You can use the headphones for EVERYTHING via Optical, just hook it to your TV. You would have to switch base stations IF, and only IF you wanted to do CHAT with one or the other. But if your like me, and don't care to jaw with 12 year olds while trying to play a game, just get either one and use it for Audio only. I have the first gen that just went out, and I used it on everything for Audio only.
