• It does not come installed. By default Best Buy sells this computer with a one-year subscription to Microsoft Office (you can buy it without and save about $50). When you start it up and enter the subscription code Word (and the rest of Office) will be installed from the internet. You do need to maintain the subscription if you want to keep using Word after the year is up.

• Marty, It comes with the standard trial version but you can either purchase a home/professional/student version and get it installed. Or if you can just purchase it through microsoft once the trial is up.

• No, the laptop does not come with Microsoft Word installed but it does come with a Trial version so you can download and buy the full version on the laptop.
