• Yes it comes with the normal one year protection plan, however read the registration documents, it explains there what "Asus" considers accidental damage, also you can purchase a extended warranty depending where you purchased the item

• It only comes with manufacturers 1 year warranty. You can ask or look up what that covers. You do have to register your computer for this insurance to be used. However, it does NOT come with accidental damage. You have to buy that extra.
