“Speed seems to be slow Have owned my ASUS 2-in-1 now for a whole 5 days. Am not the most competent with computers and technology, but am trying to learn. It seems my laptop is more than a bit slow, especially when trying to use the WiFi at Barnes and Noble or the local library. Any suggestions on how I can speed it up?”

Hi Not-a-techie.........the speed of this model is actually very quick, however I do not use Wi-Fi s most WI-FI in stores or any where the you can connect to is used by many other computers which slows down the MPS, the speed being sent to your computer. I use cable and hot-spots from my cable company which is just a tad slower but I can still play games, send emails, etc...... My advice is if you have cable at home ask if the cable company has what is called hot-spots, meaning you are signing into your cable company internet Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.On public WiFi you're not going to get good download speeds due to traffic on the network or connection speeds being limited to better handle the number of users. You will get better surfing speeds (and a more secure connection) on a private WiFi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would think being on public wi-fi would be slow since there is so much traffic from other users. My asus is as fast as my wi-fi connection at home . Try doing a speed test which you can find by googling "speed test".
