Me, too!. After some research, I disabled the Asus 'auto-update' feature and set it to manually prompt me when it wants to go surfing for regular updates. I also found out that Windows, and a lot of other apps, have similar defaults set to 'auto-update' which need to be reset individually to stop unwanted wake ups. In addition, most auto-wake-ups never let your PC go back to sleep until you open the lid because it needs to let you know that some form of update was performed, although you must search for specifics of what the update entailed via control panel. I don't like the idea of a ghost in my machine so I set everything to the 'manual update' mode to ensure my laptop stays peacefully at rest. I prefer to pick and choose each update because I have found some to be very questionable and unnecessary. Hope this helps :-).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found this happening too. However, mine was the log in screen and it would pull up the visual/facial software to take a picture to log on. It would make a chirping noise in the middle of the night. Very odd, but I physically put my computer to sleep now by pressing ctrl, alt, delete and pressing the power button the the screen. It has fixed my problem. Sorry I cannot provide more insight.
